Government Procurement and Tenders
We are experienced in advising on issues relating to government procurement including vetting of tender conditions, instructions to bidders etc, advising on any issues that may arise during the procurement process and on the applicable law viz. Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 and Rules. We appear in writ petitions before the High Court of Karnataka in relation to any challenge raised by any bidder in respect of the tender process or in relation to forfeiture of Earnest Money Deposit or Blacklisting. We are on the panel of Karnataka Road Development Corporation Ltd, and Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. since 2012 and we extensively advise on all their tender matters. Apart from this, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, National Highways Wing of the State PWD Wing and other government departments regularly seek our advice in relation to various matters on a professional engagement basis. We draft and vet agreements, communications etc in relation to various procurement issues in order to avoid litigation. We also advise and appear for private companies who wish to challenge any Government Tenders for entities other than those for whom we work for.
