Land Acquisition
We regularly advise and appear before any Court / Tribunal on behalf of KPCL, KRDCL and Public Works Department, Karnataka on matters relating to Land Acquisition Act, 1894, Karnataka State Highways Act and the Right to Fair Compensation, Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. We have also advised in the past on Forest Act and related Rules relating to tree cutting in relation to acquisition of land for road construction. We also appear extensively in various Courts and Tribunals on behalf of these organizations wherein the compensation payable for acquisition of land is either sought to be enhanced or lowered. We have also advised private companies and individuals in relation to acquisition of land by the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited to oppose the acquisition as well as to claim additional compensation in addition to appearing on their behalf before Court / Tribunal. We also appear and advise Companies and individuals in relation to Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (‘KIADB’) acquisitions and all kinds of matters related thereto. We handle all kinds of litigation in relation to land acquisition for other statutory bodies as well.
